Planning for the 2009 - 2010 Season presented the Bears with a challenge they have never faced before.  The number of players at the high school level was down from past years - the Bears did not have enough players to field a solid Varsity or JV Team.

In and effort to approach the season as a rebuilding year and to accommodate the needs of the varsity players, the Bears combined forces with Huntley HS, who faced similar challenges.

Head Coach Tom Paulson requested to fill the position of JV Coach, in order to focus on developing the younger players with the LZBHC Club in hopes of building a competitive team for the future.  Bob Turano has came on board as the Asst JV Coach to further the efforts of rebuilding the club.  The combined teams played under the name of HLZ

The Fall season is complete and the Bears return as a pure team for the 2010 Spring and Fall Seasons.
