Due to the continued growth and interest of players and families in the LZBHC after graduation, an Alumni Association was created in 2007.  The Alumni Association's mission is to assist Lake Zurich Bears Hockey Club in providing a first-class hockey program. 

Since the year 2000, former LZBHC players have participated in this program in an annual hockey game against the current Varsity team. All proceeds from the event are donated to the hockey organization. Many alumni, parents, and other Lake Zurich area supporters are members of this important program, which provides resources exclusively for the support of current and former Lake Zurich hockey players.

The Lake Zurich Bears Hockey Alumni Association is devoted to assisting with charitable causes within the Lake Zurich Bears Hockey Club and Lake Zurich area Community.  The objectives of the Alumni Association are to:

• Raise funds to provide player scholarships and assist the financial needs of the organization as deemed appropriate by the LZBHAA

• Undertake initiatives supporting the advancement of the LZBHC, ensuring the education and development of current and past LZBHC players.

• Protect and assist fellow Alumni, “Players Helping Players”

• Organize the Annual Alumni Game

• Be involved with charitable events and to be actively involved in the community in a positive way.

The association strongly supports continuing the legacy of Lake Zurich Bear Hockey, allowing individuals who have benefitted by the LZBHC to give something back. 

During the club’s 12 years, over 95 young men and women have participated in LZBHC, with over one dozen of the players advancing their careers to college, junior, and professional hockey.   Many others have taken their experience playing in this organization to help them with life’s challenges.

Membership in the Association is open to all past and present LZBHC Board Members and LZBHC Alums in good standing with the club. There is no cost to join.  Simply register online through the LZHBC website at www.bearshockey.com and go the ALUMNI link.  We are fully dedicated to building active and lifelong relationships among alumni members and the current LZBHC. Donate…The Lake Zurich Bears Hockey Alumni Association is a 501c3 non-profit organization devoted to assisting with charitable causes within the Lake Zurich Bears Hockey Club and Lake Zurich Area Community.   Without your support, Lake Zurich Hockey would not be thriving as it is today.  The LZBHC has been able to provide new game equipment,  practice jerseys, team bags, equipment storage facilities and specialized practices.
